![Cluely Alternative: Why Candidates Switch to InterviewLift [2026]](/_next/image?url=%2Finterview1.jpg&w=3840&q=75)
Cluely became famous for going viral. That is a marketing achievement, not a hiring one. Candidates who used it for a real loop — Zoom onsite, Teams screen-share, a hiring-manager round that was not on the demo video — keep asking the same question: what is the Cluely alternative that is actually built for getting hired? InterviewLift is the one we would pick.
Where Cluely stops and the job hunt continues
Cluely is an in-the-moment overlay. It does not give you the questions your target company asked last month, it does not score your resume against the JD, and it does not apply for you. InterviewLift ships all three — a verified 48,000-question bank, an ATS-scored resume builder, and Auto Apply — plus the same real-time overlay idea, executed as a native desktop app.
Detection is engineered, not branded
Cluely's undetectability claim is mostly marketing. InterviewLift publishes a monthly detection-test report against the latest Zoom, Teams, and Meet builds — version, methodology, result. If you are going to run an overlay on a FAANG screen-share, you want the report, not the slogan.
A human in your corner
Every InterviewLift account includes a dedicated customer-success manager who reviews your resume, your application plan, and your post-interview debrief. Cluely is software only. The difference shows up the week you get a confusing rejection and need someone who has seen the pattern before.
Who should stay on Cluely
- You only want a viral overlay for a single informal screen and nothing else.
- You do not care about a verified question bank or resume scoring.
- You are comfortable with self-reported undetectability and no human support.
