Tencent mode vs. generic copilot
Tencent's tier system (T1.1 through T5) and BG-specific rubrics are unlike any FAANG ladder. Generic copilots miss both.
What Tencent mode unlocks
BG-specific scaffolds (WXG, IEG, CSIG, TEG)
A WeChat E2 interview asks completely different questions than a TiMi Studio E2. The copilot detects the BG from the JD or recruiter context and adapts question difficulty, system-design scope, and behavioural framing to that BG's specific rubric.
Tencent tier ladder calibration
Tencent uses a T1.1 → T5 ladder (with sub-tiers). Salary, equity, and review weight differ at each tier. The copilot adapts coding-question difficulty, system-design depth, and behavioural-story scope to the target tier you specify in onboarding.
Mandarin + English bilingual mode
Tencent interviewers often switch between Mandarin and English mid-question. The copilot transcribes both in real time and surfaces answer scaffolds in the language the question was asked, with optional translation.
Tencent Meeting + DingTalk support
Tencent interviews run on Tencent Meeting (their own Zoom-equivalent) and occasionally DingTalk. Interview Lift's OS-level overlay works on both — neither platform can capture the overlay.
WeChat-scale system-design
WXG interviews assume WeChat-scale traffic (1.3B MAU, message fan-out, video-call infra). The copilot pre-loads scale anchors so your answer is in the right order of magnitude from sentence one.
Game-systems design (IEG mode)
IEG interviews test game-systems design (matchmaking, anti-cheat, payment, real-time PvP networking). The copilot has a dedicated game-systems sub-mode with relevant scaffolds.
