Information we collect
Account data — name, email, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
Resume & career data — the content you provide to our resume builder, target companies, and job descriptions you share with your customer success manager.
Interview session data — transcripts generated during interviews you run with Interview Lift. Audio is processed locally where feasible and is never stored beyond the session unless you explicitly opt in.
Usage telemetry — feature usage, crash logs, and performance metrics to keep the app fast and reliable. This data is aggregated and de-identified wherever possible.
Payment data — handled exclusively by our PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store card numbers.
How we use your information
- To deliver the Interview Lift service itself — including real-time AI assistance during interviews.
- To provide human support from your customer success manager.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the product.
- To communicate service updates, not marketing (you can opt out of all non-essential email).
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we do NOT do
We do not sell your data. We do not share your resume, interview transcripts, or target companies with third parties for marketing. We do not train public-facing models on your private session data without explicit, revocable opt-in.
Data security
All data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted with AES-256. Access is limited to the minimum set of engineers and CSMs who need it, audited quarterly. Session audio is processed locally where technically feasible.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email privacy@interviewlift.com and we will respond within 30 days. EU and UK users have additional GDPR rights; California residents have CCPA rights. We honor all of them globally.
Retention
Account and resume data is retained while your account is active and for 90 days after deletion. Interview transcripts are retained for 30 days by default unless you save them explicitly. Telemetry is retained for up to 12 months in aggregate form.
